About
“I’m a UK based, self-taught artist. I find the artistic process is like a form of meditation; helping me to slow down, gaze deeply and notice a hidden transcendent echo concealed within the ordinary. I am part way through a Masters in “Theology, Culture and Imagination” through Sarum College and a beautiful part of my week is spent facilitating a couple of community groups though my local church, exploring questions of spirituality. This coupled with being a former clinical psychologist means, I am drawn to explore our relationship within ourselves, with others, the world around and the sacred- acknowledging the contrasts between “the stories we live and the stories we tell.” I love working in monochrome with Indian ink as well as the atmospheric effects charcoal can bring. Recently I’ve found myself really compelled by colour and movement and am on a journey with acrylics, watercolour and pastels. On top of this I have got really excited about home printing using recycled materials such as tetrapaks. So the winds of creativity seem to take me in many directions and I’m never quite sure where the next adventure will lead...”
